classes had gone by so slowly that day. it was honestly depressing. sure, emma normally loved classes, but... today was one of those days where it seemed that everything was going slowly. she wanted to just get back to her dorm and relax. she hadn't slept much the night before, mostly because her and macie had been watching a few movies together. it was worth it though; emma hadn't seen the nightmare before christmas in a long time, so she had been looking forward to it, and she wasn't going to miss it. now, she was probably paying the price of being extra tired during class.
after classes, emma honestly didn't have too much to do. sure, she'd do homework, but once that was done, she really had nothing to do. she honestly wasn't too sure where connor was yet; he was probably out with some of his friends for now. macie was gone out till later on; she was out shopping with a few of her friends. so, emma was pretty much on her own till one of them came. grabbing her phone quickly as she put away her binder, she texted connor quickly, just simply asking that he text her when he was going to come back. hitting send, she pushed herself back from her chair and standing up. stretching her hands in front of her, she looked around, trying to find something to do. honestly, there wasn't too much she could do alone in her dorm. she decided maybe to just check on things online on her laptop. so, going over to her bed, she laid down on it, reaching under her bed and pulling her laptop out.
lying down on her bed, she opened ehr laptop up, turning on her laptop. she waited patiently for it to start, and she was about to log herself onto facebook when she felt her phone go off. grabbing it, she flipped it open, not looking at the caller i.d. "hello? hey, macie! what? .... oh, it sounds like a cute shirt! ..... i think it would look good with black skinnies, yeah.... heels? uuh... maybe? try them on with the outfit? .. i know i'm not much help, i'm sorry! ... haha, i love you too. i'll see you when you get back, then, okay? all right, bye." hanging up, she laughed. macie could be such a handleful at times.. especially with clothes. that was something that emma wouldn't understand. she never wasted too much time with clothes. emma loved her anyways; hey, if it wasn't for macie, she wouldn't be with connor, and she probably would not even have half the fun she did in life without macie.
oh! her computer; logging into facebook, she logged in, checking out updates and stuff, managing to get into a few chats with her friends who were saying that they should get together sometime and hang out. she said sure, and that they'd have to plan it out sometimes, just not for then. she honestly was having a lazy day and didn't feel like doing anything. most peoples' lazy days involved not even doing homework and just sitting in front of the tv; emma's lazy day was doing all the homework she could get in, then deciding against anything else and lying on her bed watching youtube videos. hey, some of those youtube comedians were actually funny. way funnier than actual comedians in the world. shane dawson, definitely. macie and her had stayed up one night and had been watching youtube videos, and it had been hilarious, because emma had found his sexual innuendos extremely hilarious, which wasn't that much of a normal thing for her, but she had found him hilarious; her and macie had spent the whole night watching a ton of his videos, and it had been extremely funny. she decided, what the heck? maybe he had some new stuff up since them.
clicking on one of his videos, she quickly jumped off of her bed, reaching over and grabbing her headphones from her iPod. plugging them into her laptop, she stuck the little buds in her ears as the video started. sitting back on her bed, she took her laptop and placed it on her stomach as she laid back against her pillows. but she quickly grabbed her phone once again, seeing if anyone had texted her. she frowned; no one. but she checked her outbox, and she saw that her text to connor had been read, so at least he knew she'd texted him? eh.. she wasn't sure why she was so happy about it, but... shoving her phone underneath her pillow, she returned her attenton to the screen in front of her, deciding to just relax. hey, she had the time to herself, so it was fine.

Raising a brow as the teacher stepped out of the classroom, Connor plopped his feet onto his desk and leaned back in his chair. It was the last class of the day and as was usual, he wasn’t paying the least bit of attention to the words his professor had been spilling. They must have been something about science as he was currently in biology. He wished that Emma was in the classroom as well so he would have someone to pay attention to. Most the kids in the class were freshman so he did he best to avoid them. Occasionally a girl would start flirting their ass off and he’d subconsciously return the favor but there was no doubt she knew that nothing was going to happen. After all, he was way out of any freshman’s league. Actually, he hated most freshman without reason, hell he practically hated himself when he was a freshman. They were always getting lost and acting as if they were nine, he had to resist the urge to punch the dicks in the face and break the girl’s hearts. Yeah, he was an asshole but everyone knew it. It was best to just get over it and love him anyway or ignore him.
”Davis, feet off the desk.”
Connor’s eyes rolled to the back of his head as he was scolded, usually he would fight back but as he only had minutes to go and didn’t particularly feel like detention, he returned to his previous position. He spent the rest of the class period staring at the clock, willing it to move faster. Why was it time seemed to stand still once one was finally going to achieve what it was they wanted? He jumped up the second the clock met with the correct number and made his way out of the classroom. He didn’t have any plans for the day with Emma or any of his friends but as long as he was out of school, his mood would improve drastically. Walking out of the building Connor caught sight of a familiar blonde, Macie Lewis, she was one of his dorm mates and best friends. They talked for awhile before she started to talk about going to the mall and he ducked out before she had the chance to ask him to accompany her. Most people were used to Con leaving without an explanation, it was just a habit of his. If he didn’t like where the conversation was heading, he’d just make the nearest exit. He never did that to Em though, she hardly ever had to deal with his rudeness. He figured she was too good for it.
Macie had introduced Connor and Emma in their freshman year, they were an unlikely pair but he had fallen for her quite quickly. She was definitely the most gorgeous girl he had ever seen and for awhile he had wanted to stay away from her. She made him feel things he had never wanted to, he wasn’t used to actually wanting someone for their personality and he sure as hell didn’t know much of anything about love. He was scared shitless and it had been all her fault. It turned out that he couldn’t resist her, in fact he wanted to be with her every second. He knew it was pathetic but it turned out she was worth that. Now he wouldn’t trade her for anything, she was the best thing in his life. She was the one who could make him feel like it was all worth it somehow. He had taken her to meet his parents and though they could have cared less and acted like complete assholes, she didn’t blame him for any of it. Connor Davis and Emma Jenkins were made for each other and he was fucking sure of it.
Not feeling like going to the dorm yet, Connor decided to head up to Starbucks figuring he could get Emma something as well and take it to the dorm to surprise her. She brought out his considerate side. He debated picking up something for Macie too but figured she likely wasn’t going to be there and if she was she could deal with it. Smirking, he placed his hands in his pockets and started on the short walk to the coffee shop. It wasn’t long before he felt his phone vibrating in his pocket, checking it out he saw that he had received a text message from Emma. He placed the phone back in his pocket not planning on texting her back, he’d much rather surprise her. Hearing the ring of the bell as he stepped into Starbucks, he walked up to the counter and ordered both his and Em’s favorite beverages. The girl behind the counter was rather awkward looking and kept making eyes at him. He smirked, not a chance, babe He could only imagine his girlfriend’s reaction at his rude thoughts. He was knocked out of his amusing moment when she handed the drinks to him, giving him a crooked smile. ”Er, thanks.”
”Are you fucking serious?
On the walk home, it started pouring rain. The day had been nice enough, it hadn’t looked threatening at any rate, and now he had to deal with a ten minute walk in this? Glaring, he tried to make his way back home as fast as his legs would carry him. He made it in half the time and fumbled to get his keys to unlock the dorm, his bad mood simmered as he caught sight of Emma laying on her bed with her headphones in her ears, this would be an easy situation to take advantage of. He was as quiet as he possibly could be as he snuck into the bedroom after setting the drinks down on the counter. Smirking, he pounced on her being sure not to smash her all the same, laughing a bit he took the headphones off and smirked at her. ”Hello beautiful.” He pressed his lips on the top of her head.

She needed a hobby. Sitting around watching stuff on youtube wasn’t something that she should have gotten used to. In the past, she wouldn’t have been doing this at all. Emma, frankly put, was a nerd. She’d read until her eyes burned and begged her to go to sleep. She figured she was just changing. It wasn’t really bad; she was pretty much the same, just not as much of a nerd. Now, if macie and Connor were there to hear her say that, they would either a) say she wasn’t, or b) not answer and go back to whatever they were doing. More than like the first option. Hey, at least they had pure intentions. She loved them; it was too hard to not love Macie and Connor. Even though people thought Macie was a bit stuck up, and a slut, and Connor was just not nice in general. She had people coming to her often and asking her how she was friends with them, and Emma always, cheerfully, said they were best friends. Hey, not all friendships made sense, which was something people learned in life. At least, that’s what Emma learned.
Yawning, she decided to look up music. She was slightly bored with Shane Dawson, though she did love watching his videos when she needed a good laugh. Right now she was just really bored. She wanted to call macie or Connor, but she didn’t want to seem desperate or anything. She could just take a nap…? But that was automatically out of the question; she wasn’t the least bit tired at all, even though she was in a quite comfortable position on her bed. Sighing, she sat up, getting off her bed and walking over to her dresser. She sat down in front of it on the little stool that was there. Macie bought it so that she could sit there for hours at a time, and it was quite useful when she and macie had random nights where they wanted to stay up and they would sit there. Macie would make her try on different make up and see what looked best on her, and Emma would beg her to let her just go to sleep. It was a weekly thing, at least, since macie thought that Emma should be more into make up and all that stuff than she already was. All Emma could do was nod her head and say she would try. Well, she didn’t really do that, but… she’d have to one day, or she’d have to deal with Macie continually telling her that she should wear more make up, and that she needed to drag her to the mall for a random shopping spree….. it was honestly still a mystery to Emma how they’d ended up being best friends, honestly. But hey, she never doubted the actual friendship at all. She didn’t know where she’d be without Macie.
Brushing out her hair really quick, she pushed herself off of the stool again, grabbing her water bottle off the side table of her bed and taking a sip. Plopping herself back onto her bed, she fumbled with her headphones for a minute; they were tangled again, and they were a pain to have to untangle. Struggling with them for a minute, she shoved them back into her ears as she laid herself on her stomach again, making her face comfortable against her hand. Using her free hand, she scrolled through a few videos before deciding she was going to go watch some music videos. She wasn’t too sure what she wanted to listen to right now; boys like girls, there for tomorrow, 3OH!3, there were a ton of options. Her music choices had increased a ton since meeting Macie and Connor. A lot. But why was it that, when she really wanted something to keep her occupied, she couldn’t think of who to listen to? Her mind was just being plain mean to her. Reaching under her pillow, she looked to see if Connor had texted her back, which he hadn’t. Frowning slightly, she sighed as she decided There for Tomorrow. She hadn’t listened to them in a while.
Hitting on a random song she didn’t know, she decided to go onto her Twitter and update her status and stuff. Turning up the volume on her laptop to just shy of full volume, she started typing in her new status before she got distracted by seeing other peoples’ updates. They were fun to read at times, especially her friends’ statuses and the statuses of the celebrities that she was following. She was getting into reading all that stuff. Hm… apparently Demi Lovato and Trace Cyrus had broken up? Emma hadn’t even heard that they were dating. So much that she didn’t hear the door open, or even notice that Connor was in the room until she felt him pounce onto the bed. Laughing, she turned her head up to look at him. Smiling, she felt his lips against her head as his hello. Turning herself over onto her back, she grinned at him. “Hey, where were you?” Leaning her head up, she pressed her lips against his softly before pulling back. She sat up, sitting pretzel style on the bed. She glanced over at the desk and, seeing the Starbucks containers on the counter, she smiled, turning her attention back to him. “You got coffee? Thank you!” He was just too nice to her. She looked him over, frowning slightly. “Did it start raining? You’re wet.” Turning herself around to get off the bed, she wandered over to the hamper of clean clothes, pulling out a dry towel. Turning around, she threw it at him, smiling slightly. Grabbing the two coffees on the counter, she wandered over to the bed, smelling the air around each one to make sure which one was hers and which was his. In the three years they dated, they learned a lot about each other. Such as their favorite hot beverage. Holding out the hand that had Connor’s drink, she took a sip of her own drink, a serene smile on her face. She liked coffee. She had considered getting a job there when she first went job hunting a year and a half ago, but she loved borders more than anywhere else.
