when we were in love, things were better than they are.
hearing the beginning lines of into your arms by the maine, reagan groaned, pushing herself off of her bed. she'd been laying quite comfortably on her stomach, and now someone was calling and ruining her comfortable-ness. grabbing her phone, she didn't even look at the caller id as she went back into her previous position. "hell-- what? wait, stop yelling. ..... today?! are you serious? ugh, kaitlyn! come on..... no, no, i get it. all right, bye." hanging up with kaitlyn, she frowned, letting her head fall onto the bed. she was supposed to hang out with kaitlyn that night, but the girl was hanging out with some rocky or something. now what was she supposed to do? jayden was in the shower, and rea could just hear singing to himself when he thought only he could hear it, the loesr. smirking slightly, she got up off the bed and quickly scribbled a note as quietly as she could, telling jayden to meet up with her at Cedar Point when he was done. god knew that it would take him at least two hours to get out of the damn bathroom. surprisingly, she didn't mind. hey, the boy'd been her friend for ten years, she was able to put up with the problems he had. taking obscenely long showers was something new, though. at least, reagan thought. she hadn't really lived with jayden, though there had been days where she'd slept over at his house for at least two days in a row. but she never paid attention to how long it took him to take showers, so why would she know now?
as she quickly finished the note and left it on his pillow, she stuck her head against the door, trying to hear. yes he was still showing. good. quickly pulling off her shirt and jeans, she pulled on a pair of blue skinny jeans and a mayday parade shirt before brushing her hair as quickly and quietly as she could. grabbing her phone as she skipped past her bed, she shoved her feet into her shoes, trying to be as quiet as possible. she didn't want him to realize she'd left until he got out and saw no sign of her. taking the door knob in her hand, she turned it carefully and slowly, trying not to squeak. that wasn't working too well; she heard the door creak a few times, but overall, she knew he wouldn't notice over the shower. closing the door behind her as silent as a mouse, she skipped towards the stairs, hopping down them quickly. pulling her phone out, she glanced at the time. half an hour till seven. good.
heading out of the school, she knew that she wouldn't be able to make it to cedar point before he did if she walked and he bummed a ride off someone. looking down at her phone, she scrolled through the list of contacts before her name hit aaron's. ....... it was worth a shot. shrugging, she dialed his number and put the phone up to her ear, waiting to see if he picked up. surprisingly, he did. asking him if he would give her a ride to cedar point, she was thoroughly surprised when he agreed. course, he spent a good five minutes talking about stuff that rea couldn't even bother to try and comprehend why he would talk about them. finally, he said yes, and she was thankful for it. finding a damn taxi was hard, because... well, rarely any taxis drove by. she'd have to call the stupid station and ask for one, and who knew how long that would take? aaron, he'd take five minutes tops. in fact, by thet time five minutes was over, he was there. apparently he was sober for once. hearing him complain about ryder and their new roommate finishing his stash, rea laughed, shaking her head. she never understood why people were so dependent on those things.
by the time she got to the park, aaron had left her, she was standing at the entrance, paying for her ticket. it was some boy, rocky or something like that. thanking him, she walked in, glancing around. the park was usually extremely packed during the night time, and tonight was definitely no exception. she didn't even really know why they'd decided to go that night; they knew they needed to just spend a night out doing something fun other than sitting on top of each other and talking about crap that happened that did not remotely involve them. the latest? her little starbucks adventure. she didn't know how, but all she knew was that jay knew that she'd slapped his buddy, aaron. though she'd shown no sign of remorse when she did, when he mentioned it, she felt awkward. but it had ended up being a hilarious conversation as she told him how aaron had reacted, and jay had found it funny nonetheless. and thankfully, he hadn't asked why. at least, she was sure he didn't.. she couldn't really remember.
turning around to glance around, she stopped as she thought she saw a familiar face. grinning, she waved her hand above her head, trying to shout jay's name over the crowd. "jay, over here!" in fact, she had to jump up and down a bit, because in front of her stood some guy that looked like he played college football, and stood as tall as the flag pole. finally, she ran around him before skipping lightly back towards the entrance to meet up with jay. "you take, obscenely long showers. i hope you saved me water for tomorrow, you biotch." she stuck her tongue out at him before giving him a good natured grin. she was rocking on the balls of her heels, waiting excitedly. she hadn't been to Cedar Point in quite a while, and she was excited. and she wanted to prove that she wasn't scared of roller coasters like she'd been when she was eleven.- - - - - - - - - - - -
