finally, tara learned to get rid of her alarm clock. now it was hidden under a bunch of old stuff in her garage. that was the reason why for the first time in weeks she didn't have to listen to her obnoxious alarm going off an ungodly hours anymore. as she forced herself out of bed, she glanced at the silent, non alarm clock she had against the wall. it was a bit past nine. still really early, but hey, at least it wasn't seven. if so, she would have been extremely angry. tossing the sheets off, she stretched her arms above her head as she stood up. tying her hair up into the messiest bun she could get, she shoved her feet into her slippers and walked towards her door, heading towards the bathroom. not even ten minutes later, she left the bathroom, face washed and teeth brushed, and she wandered down the short stairs to the kitchen. she glanced around, noticing that, once again, her father was out. he needed a night job more than a day job... rolling her eyes, she walked into the kitchen, grabbing the orange juice from the fridge. pouring herself a glass, she took a sip as she slowly walked back upstairs. she pretty much had nothing to do as of yet. she needed to make friends with people that were outside of highschool... then maybe she'd have someone to talk to ...
as she got upstairs, she realized that she was still able to get on the chat that was, supposedly, only for the bristol high students. hm.. maybe it was just a giant chatroom... she was thinking about these things as she walked over to her bureau and grabbed her laptop that was on top of it. unplugging it, she took it over to her bed as she made herself comfortable. taking another sip of her juice, she turned her laptop on and waited for what seemed like forever until it was finally done loading. clicking on her internet, she signed herself onto the school chat, ready to be bored. but hey, sometimes students snuck on to talk during class, or other people managed to get in. she didn't care, as long as the person was someone she could talk to. thankfully, her prayers were answered when some guy named theodore logged on. the minute he did, the first thing she noticed was his little display icon, and how the lighting in it was absolutely perfect. yes, she was a photography nerd that noticed these types of things. there wasn't anything else to it, really. but he turned out to be pretty cool, too. he, like her, took pictures of random people at the park like she did. though she took pictures of toddlers and he took pictures of random people.. and more than likely they thought he was some creepy guy who was going to kidnap their kids or something. after talking with him for about ten minutes, she heard her stomach growl in a very not nice way. damn, she was hungry. but there more than likely wasn't any food in teh house still. she needed a job... she was definitely going job hunting in a bit. telling theodore that she was going to get breakfast, and that he should definitely join her, she set her status to away and got up off her bed. throwing off the tank top and sweat pants that she was wearing, she pulled on a pair of skinny jeans and a Jack's Manniquin t-shirt. shoving her feet into her black and white Converse, all she grabbed was her camera bag and her phone. she was totally dependent on both of them, but se wa more dependent on her camera bag than anything else. she just loved taking pictures too much. that was probably something she really didn't get from her dad. he was more of an artist than a photographer, and she was more of a photographer than an artist. ever since dropping out of school, she'd taken more pictures than she ever had while she was in highschool.
walking downstairs, she scribbled a little note for her dad, though she was certan that she was probably goign to beat him home once again, like she had for the past week. grabbing her keys, she walked out the door, closing it and locking it behind her. walking down onto the sidewalk, she headed downtown, upwrapping her headphones from around her phone. shoving them into her ears, she pressed a few buttons on her phone until she hit one of the playlists. hearing forever the sickest kids' the way she walks, she walked down the street, realizing that she was going to be there in less than ten minutes or so.
less than that, even. all she had to do was look up and she found herself walking past the diner. stopping herself in mid step, she turned herself on her heel before walking ten feet back to the diner. pulling the door open, she looked up as she pulled one of her headphones out of her ear. waving towards one of the old ladies that knew her, she walked towards one of the tables that was next to the large window. sitting herself down, she pulled her bag off of her shoulder, placing it in the seat next to her. she loved the diner, because the seats were extremely long and comfy. it was one of those old fashioned diners, which she loved. hm.. she would definitely have to take some shots here one day.
looking up, she saw that the woman that she was friends with was taking her order. smiling, she ordered regular pancakes before making some small talk with the woman, who was a friend of her father's. quickly ordering a cup of coffee before the woman walked away, she thanked her before looking down at her camera, looking through some of the pictures she had on her camera. damn, she definitely had to delete a ton of them, because they were extremely old. deleting a few, she glanced up or a quick second, thanking the guy who bought her her order. taking a sip of her coffee, she put her camera back into her bag as she grabbed her coffee. taking a slow sip, se took her fork, taking a small bite of her pancakes. turning her head, she rested her chin on her hand, staring out the window. she needed company, desperately.

right now, you're the only reason. & TIME OUT IF EVERYONE'S WORTH PLEASING. thursday, right around ten in the am, you could find theodore propped up with his hands on the marble and his back to the kitchen counter in his apartment, clad in only flannel pajama pants. the cold tile didn't seem to bother his feet much, in fact he seemed to be practically asleep. eyes closed, he only moved to stifle a yawn with a closed fist as he waited, surprisingly mellow for how enthusiastic he could be at times. after a good three minutes, he heard the click of the coffee pot. smileless, he shifted his body so he could flick the machine's off switch and snag the pot from it's home, then gruffly reached and discovered a clean mug on an open shelf above his head. bringing it down to rest on the counter, he poured the black drug into the cup, filling it by accident to the brim. mumbling gentle profanities, he narrowed his eyes as he bent over and raised the mug to his mouth, restraining himself from wincing as the coffee bit his lips. damn, it was hot. sipping it down to a safer level, he swallowed it hard, blinking more than usual. holding the cup with both hands, letting the heat burn through his skin, he dragged himself away from the kitchen, shuffling through the living room, and meandering into the bedroom. by then half of the liquid had been downed, and already theodore's head was starting to clear up. he stood a little straighter, taking control of his tired body as he picked up his cellular from a bedside table. 10:08. huh. that was later than normal, for him.
but it didn't matter, because today was thursday. he didn't have classes today, so he didn't have to worry about being late. and anyway, his classes would have started at 11, and that left him plenty of time to get to the college. he didn't miss high school one bit; that was for sure. in college, you generally were only exposed to students with the same interests as you, and therefore you don't have to encounter those unpleasant jocks or gangsters. anywho, he was surprised he had woken up at all; he had been working on bleaching patterns into some of his clothes up until all hours of the night-- speaking of clothes. theodore speed walked to the kitchen, dropped off his mug in the sink, and opened his apartment door. stepping out, he tilted his head back and closed his eyes, turning around and catching the door before it closed. key. he needed a key. finding one in an old jeans pocket, he rushed down into the basement. the stench of bleach was vivid, and he bluntly realized that the other residents probably hated him for it. oh well. if he had to deal with their loud noise and idiocy, the least they could do was to deal with his bleach. it wasn't like they didn't get the chance to see him running around shirtless all the time, checking on his work before he even got dressed. taking a gander at two shirts in 'his' corner, theodore smirked a little as he inspected his work. sexy. now just to wash them.. he instantly threw them into the laundry machine, watching for a minute while they rolled and tumbled around inside, getting all sudsy and what not. he wished he had his camera. returning upstairs, he sprawled himself out on the long sofa. some people would think it was lonely, living alone, but for theodore it really wasn't. for the most part, he was content to sit around and relax, thinking to himself and pondering life.
deciding it was about time to check his facebook and twitter, he plucked his dear laptop off the nearby coffee table, turning it on and watching the screen flicker, then come to life. the blue screen then evolved into a login page, which he typed a username and password into. satisfied, the computer then moved onto his homepage, which happened to be a picture of his friends jamie and elizabeth mirroring each other's actions. hardly giving the laptop a chance to load, he clicked the internet icon twice. it popped up in a moment, and theodore logged onto facebook. ... he hadn't missed anything. a quick search proved that no one had anything decent on their pages, and theodore didn't even bother with messing with his own. leaping from there to twitter, he bit his lip. why was he suddenly so unpopular? .. maybe it was because he had been online until one last night. no one seems to do anything exciting from one to nine, so.. he scratched the back of his head. what now? deciding that it was better to linger online rather than abandon the attempt, he brought up google. staring at the white page, he began typing in random things. eventually, somehow, he stumbled on the bristol high site. for the sake of memories, he clicked around, looking at crappy photos of the hallways and the library. huh, they sure made some renovations since he had been there, just last year. finding the school chat site, he entered it, figuring 'why the hell not?' it was a good think he had, because then he befriended tara, who looked to be anywhere from fifteen to eighteen. she was nice enough, and she put theodore in a comfortable enough place for him to be nice, too. but too soon after, tara signed off. theodore was interested and amused by her offer to meet at the diner, though. he actually worked there, as a cashier. for a second, he contemplated whether he should go or not.
seeing as how he didn't have any particular reason not to, he decided to meet this stranger. closing his laptop and setting it aside, he forced himself to get up and go find a decent outfit. after going through several, he withdrew grey jeans, a black hoodie, and a white v-neck from his dresser, and he changed. ending up in the bathroom after that, he found himself messing with his hair for a few minutes and then brushing his teeth and washing his face and taking a piss. making sure to grab his black leather bag, he placed his camera, keys, phone, notebook, a few pens and some color pencils into it. leaving his apartment, he stopped by the basement first. his shirts weren't done yet; theodore stared blankly at the timer for a minute before coming to the conclusion that he had to leave them like that. he was nintey nine percent sure that whoever used the washer next would be sensible enough to put his clothes in the dryer.. but perhaps not. he would have to take the chance. walking out the door, he bypassed his car, favoring to take a walk instead. he figured he had enough time, and if he didn't then oh well. adjusting the strap on his shoulder and shoving his hands in his pockets, he started out toward the diner. at a brisk walk, it was only a few minutes away.
coming up to the diner, his eye glanced into the large window that opened up the front of the place, letting the eaters see the world outside. he spotted a few people, one of them being a pretty girl who resembled the small icon he had seen online. he stared a little, sizing her up from afar. she looked like she was thinking, and he was slightly impressed. she was turning out to be one cool chick. pulling the door open, he looked around as he stepped inside. catching sight of one of the waiters, he smiled a little. she was a nice enough lady. making his way to the table where tara was sitting, his eye was caught for the millionth time by the old fashioned, firetruck red seats and the jukebox sitting cozily against the far wall. it really was a remarkable place, as far as art-wary theodore was concerned. setting himself down across from tara, a smile tugged at his mouth. tara, isn't it? he felt a little awkward, approaching her like this. for a minute, he imagined this was how it felt to meet a mate you found on eharmony or something of the like. pancakes and coffee, huh? good stuff. smirking, he reached an arm across the table, pulling the plate toward him and picking up the fork. without really giving her a chance to complain, a small bite of pancake was in his mouth, and he held the fork up in the air, resting his elbow on the table. waving the utensil back and forth, he looked at her, wondering exactly how she would take it. theodore liked to test people before he totally accepted them for who they are, and tara was already on the fast track to best friend. [/blockquote] SO I'M TALKING TO rini as tara WITH one five hundred! THINGS TO SAY. hm.... wow, staring out the window was .. just not that interesting. well, lie, in a way, it was, and in a way, it wasn't. right now, it just wasn't. picking up her coffee, she took a slow, long sip before placing it back down. taking a small bite of her pancakes again. she pulled out her phone again, feeling it go off. seeing that it was a text from rocky, who was m ore than liely not paying attention in class again, she shook her head, rolling her eyes to herself. she texted him back, seeing as how she pretty much had nothing to do right now. theodore hadn't shown up, and she wasn't sure if he was going to, so why not text one of her best friends? she sent him a quick reply before looking up as someone was at her table. glancing up, she saw that it was some girl, kaitlyn her name was? tara wasn't sure; she'd only talked to her once; but the girl seemed to either know her... or was just extremely friendly. she was talking to tara, and all she c ould really do was stare up at her before staring down at her as she made herself comfortable across from her. tilting her head at the girl, tara responded whenever it was necessary. how did someone have this much energy at this time of day? tara was the one that had coffee, and yet all she was doing was sitting here staring at the girl who just kept talking. what the hell were they even talking about, anyways? she didn't know, though when the camera was mentioned for some reason, tara glanced down at it before asking the girl if she could snap her picture really quick. if the girl thought she was weird, she didn't say anything. smiling slightly, tara grabbed her camera case and took her camera out of it's case. asking her to just pretend tara wasn't snapping a picture, she heard the girl's boss tell her to get up and take table four's order. watching her walk away, tara adjusted the focus really quick before snapping the picture. glancing at the screen, she smiled at how it turned out. she had to admit, even if the girl was too hyper and slightly weird for tara's t aste, she was extremely photogenic.
putting her camera back into its bag, she instead left it on her lap instead of on the table. for some reason, she didn't want people coming up to her and being all 'are you a photographer?!' and stuff like that. it had happened way too many times before, and though she liked that she was noticed for that rather than something else like her looks or something, it was kind of annoying. most of the time it was adults that were curious, or creepy old guys that claimed photography was their hobby as well and just wanted to have their way and make themselves seem better than they were by being able to say they slept with a photographer, no matter how old she is. she shuddered just thinking about it. she needed to stop her mind from wandering at times. the ugliest of thoughts formed, and it was never good. looking away from her camera, she picked up her coffee cup, staringat it in her hand for a minute before taking a s ip. she wanted to ask for more, because she could feel that it was slightly empty, but she didn't want to be a bother. so she decided to take it slow. looking at her phone, she pressed a random button, seeing that it was ten minutes since she last checked the time, she sighed, resting her head against her hand, staring down at her camera. maybe she should've bought a book or something.
reaching for her fork again to take a bite of her breakfast, she heard her name, and she glanced up, shaking her bangs out of her eyes. seeing a guy sitting across from her, she was going to say something not exactly nice, but she realized that she actually recognized him from the chat. "yeah, tara. theodore, right?" she winced slightly; she didn't like how it sounded saying theodore. it sounded too formal, especially for him. "i'm calling you teddy. theodore sounds... too formal." she shrugged, smiling the slightest bit. that sounded like something she would say if she was extremely close with him, but she wasn't. she met the boy not even an hour ago over the chat online. was that a good way to make friends? it wasn't something she normally would do.. so it was a bit awkward. hm... she looked down suddenly, ready to grab her fork for the bite that she'd been planning on having, but she saw her plate not in front of her. looking up, an eyebrow raised, she watched him wave her fork through the air. rolling her eyes, she shook her head before looking up at his face. "would you like to share?" she asked with a slightly sarcastic tone, smiling slightly.
"i honestly didn't think you'd come. when a girl you just met suggests you meet her for breakfast, not many guys would actually come. especially when you meet them on a school chat... thing or something." she shrugged, reaching over and taking the fork out of his hands. taking a bite out of her pancakes, she smiled a somewhat bigger smile at him, waving the fork in her fingers slightly. feeling the weight in her lap, she looked down, having forgotten that her camera was in her lap. pulling it off of her lap and placing it on the seat next to her, she reached over, taking her coffee and taking a sip. but she made a face and quickly put it back down. it had cooled down to the point where it was just weird to taste, and she hated that. cold coffee just wasn't something she was willing to drink. "so... how are you?" lame. absolutely and utterly lame. she souded too formal for a sixteen year old. that was the bad thing with her. she acted and sounded more mature than she should have been. it was just how she was, she figured. she looked up at him, taking in his face. dam,t he boy had like... the perfect face. for modeling or something, she thought to herself. not perfect face in general.. though she couldn't disagree with that thought. she mentally shook that thought out of her head. psh. he was probably some college guy with some hot girlfriend that was busy being an animal savior or something. ... what the hell was she even thinking right now?
