Eisak yawned as he entered the Cafe in his work clothes. Today was supposed be be particularly exciting; building another building. What fun...
As usual, Eisak was to weld, and that was it. Take the blow torch, ready the coil, hook it up to the propane tank, get everything ready, make a metal puddle, make little horseshoes until the cows come home. Same thing each and every day, same routine, same life, same day over and over again. When things seemed to become pointless, Eisak kept going in hopes that a point would come to him.
Still, Eisak was extremely tired from last night's partying and this morning's studies. Going to bed at 11 and getting up at 3 was simply no longer flying; it was getting cumulative. Eisak was no longer dreaming or waking up rested. It might have to do something with hardly sleeping, but he shook away the possibility with a bit of arrogance. He was good like that, he didn't allow himself to get to himself. He disliked the possibility he was imperfect and despised the idea that he was wrong even more.
Eisak glanced at his watch; 8:14 already. Yawning a bit more, he finally found a seat and looked out the window to admire the lovely Saturday morning. The colors on the horizon flowed together and blended with unmatched elegance and beauty as the sun came out of it's rest to take a look at the mortal world. Why something as great as the sun would even waste it's time by looking over a landscape abused by humans was a mystery to Eisak.
Rubbing a bit of sand out of his eyes, Eisak picked up the menu and realized that he had just wasted valuable energy and time. He had 45 minutes (about) to eat, go back home, pick up his crap, and get to work. Hell, why hadn't he just brought his luggage with him to breakfast?
Eisak was off today, but why? He hadn't taken any drugs...lately. He'd smoked his morning cigarette, gotten his average amount of sleep, and even was feeling kinda good. Things seemed to be just fine, but Eisak knew something was off.
Perhaps it was the weather! Eisak turned his head to look out the window and noticed a very slight drizzle. Maybe that was what set him off. Eisak didn't like water; it was loud, noisy, distracting, and a pain to weld in. He didn't like the H20 crap at all. Not one bit.
Taking his hand and playing with his left earring, Eisak yawned once again and let out plenty of air in his lungs. He blinked a couple of times and focused on the table in front of him.
Forgetting that he was not to pick up the menu, Eisak did so anyway. Slapping himself on the inside, Eisak groaned slightly at a small pain on his insides.
Shaking his head with closed his at his foolishness, he set the menu down and waited.
